The Port Colborne Sailors are gearing up for a busy and action-packed month as they release their official December schedule, featuring a series of exciting home games and special theme nights. Fans can catch every home game this month at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre, where the team will host a variety of community-focused events and high-energy matchups.
The month opens with Port Minor Hockey Night on Friday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m., a celebration of young local athletes and the sport’s future stars. The Sailors then hit the road on December 6 before returning home for another big matchup on Saturday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m., giving fans back-to-back evenings of intense hockey to kick off the month.
A special mid-week highlight arrives on Tuesday, December 9 at 10:30 a.m., when the team hosts its annual School Day Game. Students from across the community will fill the stands for a morning of school spirit, giveaways, and live hockey action, an event known for creating a loud, energetic atmosphere.
On Friday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m., the Sailors will host one of the season’s most heartwarming traditions: the Teddy Bear Toss Game. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed bears or plush toys and toss them onto the ice after the team scores its first goal. All donations will go toward local children’s charities, making this game a fan favourite each year.
The final home game of the month takes place on Friday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m., when the Sailors welcome the Falcons for one last showdown before the holiday break.
The Sailors will also travel for road games on December 6 and December 21, but the heart of the month’s excitement will be right at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre, where fans can enjoy festive promotions, great hockey, and community engagement all December long.
As the season pushes forward, the Sailors are inviting fans, families, and supporters to come out, show their pride, and help create an unforgettable month of hometown hockey.
